Parents took us out to Matire Karl the other night. Great little Franco German restaurant in the willoughby/chatswood area.

Chalk board specials


We started off with this "Tarte Flambee" which is pretty much like a pizza.. orignated from areas bording france/germany..

This one was the oyster mornay w/ spinach


We also had the scallops... i think i could have smashed the whole thing myself!


Mains was duck all around ... 3 of us had the roasted duck.. as seen below


And 3 of us .. including myself had the special.. duck Confit
mmmm.. duck..

Red wine to go with


Desert was pretty much a strawberry pie... i didnt any of this.. not sure how it went down.
looked the goods tho :)

J and i shared this "tarte" ..orange liquor covered the tarte with a scoop of vanilla bean ice creammmmmmmm!


we also shared the chocolate platter ... that cake in the far right was dense! yumoo


just looking at these pics make me feel full all over again!

El Jannah Action

Being out @ smithfield so much gives us the oppo to get in on the Lebanese Chicken @ El Jannah. Got to love the garlic sauce.. yummmo!

Have to find recipe to make this.. but apparently alot of it is mayo??? never get sick of the stuff :)

Fixed

@ TGV they have a set up giving a brief insite into the "fixie" culture of syd. It was quite interesting looking at all the profiles of the people.. alot of them asian lol..

but more importantly the bikes look pretty hot haha..

Question.. would a fixie??? hmmm probably not.. hardly have any time ot ride the roadie let alone another bike...
Would be pretty cool tho.. i want to try one :)

The internet these days makes things, people, information sooo accessible. I guess we just take it for granted so often. Over the past couple of days ive just realised how talented some people are.. whether be in music, work etc etc.. the internet just makes it so easy to share
